SMINT COMPETITION

EXPLANATION OF MY DESIGN:

Smint mints packs a satisfied punch when you take a bite of Smint.

The pattern was produced to resemble the mouth movements and the whole experience and interaction when you take a bite of Smint in the mouth. The experience of having fresh minty breath escaping outside the mouth only to receiving a cool cold feeling afterwards; resulting to why I chose the blue and white colour theme to express the cool cold feeling). Once the mint has dissolved. Giving the user known confidence when it comes to interacting with another person.

The design also acts on the brands personalities:

It encourages a Smint activist to use this product through design.

It is active because of the constant fluidity of lines in the pattern when a mouth is exercising the Smint experience.

It is personal because it compliments the package and how it is actively used. In terms of style, how the Smint packaging is used afterwards

It is confident as Smith activist won't mind buying more as they choose Smint as the best tool to use that's quick, easy and good to go without fiddling.

The design adds a premium quality. That gives it that slick feel when using the mechanism to release a sugar free Smint tablet knowing your going to get an abundance of freshness in a small dose. Also containing xylitol as a healthier option for mouth-care. Adding to Smint cool factor.

Being its benefits of using this this dental care:

  • It gives bacteria in the teeth energy allowing them; to multiply to make acids to eat away the enamel.

  • It's a natural sweetener

  • It doesn't break down like sugar

  • Keeps a neutral Ph level in the mouth

  • Prevents bacteria from sticking the teeth from tooth decay.

My design only enhances these factors benefitting the whole idea of ‘Fresh to Impress’.
